Hello! My name is Mart Evans, and I'm a remote session drummer specializing in MIDI drums. With over 35 years of experience, I deliver organic MIDI drum tracks in both MIDI and studio-quality audio, which is perfect for producers or artists who want a natural feel and complete control in the mix.

As a player, I consider myself a song drummer. Ghost notes, dynamics, and space matter to me. While my roots are in rock and pop, I’m versatile and comfortable across most genres. The one constant, no matter the style, is that I serve the song.

Using MIDI drums offers complete flexibility and control in your production, but what makes the difference is starting with a real drummer behind the wheel. I bring decades of real world experience, giving you a human foundation for your music. The most crucial aspect of any drum recording is the room. That's where the magic lies, and for many home-based remote session drummers, it's a part that's often lacking. The use of VSTs, such as Superior Drummer 3, enables us to create a studio-quality drum track recorded in some of the world's finest spaces.

I use technology sparingly to ensure that anything that leaves my studio feels organic and, most importantly, musical. Everything I do is played live with no shortcuts, then delivered in the format that works best for your session.

My rate gets you the following: Delivery of your final files within three days or sooner. You get unlimited revisions within a two-week window after I start work. If you need light percussion, I can provide that at no extra cost. I always provide the raw MIDI file of the performance mapped to the VST of your choice. If you use Toontrack products, I can provide the relevant project files. Audio can be provided as multitrack and a single stereo reference mix stem.
